I feel valued and I know my work is appreciatedAs software tester, I have a lot of responsibility – I have to ensure that everything is working properly when a system goes live. I am currently working on a project that involves huge risk. We are changing the information system platform for a major bank to give their customers an updated, faster service with a wider range of functionality. If anything serious goes wrong, the banking system in Lithuania will stop working until the bug is fixed. But that just makes me even more attentive and professional. I feel safe and competent, working with my team – everybody relies on me and I know my work is appreciated. We work in a very friendly, supportive and encouraging atmosphere. This atmosphere, as well as the fact that I wanted to work for an international company, is one of the reasons I sent my CV to Tieto. I had heard of the open and warm communication between people here. |
And it really is true. Everybody is willing to help each other and there is always someone who has the answers to your questions. We are encouraged to share our knowledge and I, who have learnt a lot from my colleagues, was quite pleased when I was asked to teach younger experts in my area.
It is very easy to work in such an environment and very inspiring to be surrounded by skilled specialists from different areas. The social setting promotes learning and encourages me to be proactive.Vilija Petrauskaite
